SOLAR Network | Scholars of Literature and Religion

Too often students pursuing postgraduate work are not aware of which professors are interested in the intersection of literature and religion.

How can we help students make these connections?

To meet this need, the Rivendell Institute’s Center for Theology and the Arts (RCTA) at Yale University is developing a new online tool: the Scholars of Literature and Religion (SOLAR) Network. Your participation is key to this network’s success.

This project has two aims:

  1. To facilitate connections between prospective students pursuing postgraduate work and scholars who share similar interdisciplinary interests and might be able to serve as advisors/supervisors for their programs of study.
  2. To foster increased collaboration between scholars in various fields of literary studies who are likewise working at the intersection of literature and religion.

We invite you to join this network by taking a few minutes to fill out the SOLAR Network Scholar Profile Form. You will be asked for basic information about your research interests, academic position, etc.

The information you supply will only be made available to those students and scholars who subscribe to the SOLAR Network. We (RCTA) will only contact you to ask you to complete or update your profile, or to let you know about other SOLAR Network opportunities.

We hope that you’ll join us in building these vital scholarly connections within the study of literature and religion.
